Privacy notice

Short version: we only use what you send us to reply to you, we don't sell it, and we don't track you around the web.

Who we are

Borrowd Ltd (“Borrowd”, “we”) is the data controller for personal information collected through borrowd.co.uk. You can reach us at rory@borrowd.co.uk.

What we collect

When you use our contact form or email us, we receive the details you choose to give us: typically your name, work email, company and a description of what you'd like help with. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your email address.

Contact form messages are delivered to our inbox by Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), which acts as our processor. We don't store form submissions anywhere else.

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a call and, if we work together, to deliver that work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to a request you made) or, for the newsletter, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except the service providers we use to run our business (such as email hosting), who process it on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as UK law requires for accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
